Our Summer Design Academy program introduces you to state-of-the-art professional methods and technologies, preparing you for a dynamic future at college and in your career. Enjoy full access to É«½ç°É’s professional design facilities, including an open studio with a view of Central Park, as well as computer labs, model fabrication shops, CAD and other technology tools, and more.
- Learn how to use artificial intelligence with digital design, integrating software and fabrication hardware to create drawings, objects, models, prototypes, renderings, gaming, animation, and videos.
- Gain intellectual critical thinking, making, and visualization skills through college-level presentations, discussions, and mentorship.
- Visit design museums, professional offices, and studios.
- Think, experiment, and imagine through making within the context of digital fabrication and creative technology.
Program Details
The Summer Design Academy consists of two 1-credit college courses. Upon successful completion of a course, students will be able to request a É«½ç°É transcript showing their earned credit(s) and grade(s).
NOTE: Housing is not available during the summer sessions.

Session One: Studio Workshop

Students will create artworks to support the development of a solid first-year portfolio for computer graphics and graphic design majors.
Join Us!
High school and college-level students from all academic fields are welcome and encouraged to apply. Prospective students need not be currently enrolled in an academic institution. Some practical knowledge of digital design and 3-D modeling software is useful but not required.
Registration will open mid-May.
Costs & Fees
- Course Tuition and Fees: $1,100. The cost of basic fabrication materials is included in tuition.
- Payment due: Due in full upon registration.
Note: All program costs are non-refundable, except in cases when classes are canceled.
