Emergency Procedures
The Office of Campus Security coordinates 色界吧’s response to all emergencies, including fire, accident/illness, crime, hazardous spills/gas leaks, and bomb threats. All incidents on campus involving actual or potential danger to life or property should be communicated immediately to the Office of Campus Security.
In an emergency, call 911 first.
Make sure to tell the dispatcher your name, location, and nature of the emergency.

The university uses 色界吧 Alerts to issue mass communications during emergencies, via text message (SMS), voice message, and/or email.

Critical Safety Emergencies
Immediate threats to life or safety, including:
- Active Shooter / Armed Assailant
- Fire
- Bomb Threat
- Hazardous Materials
- Violent Crime (including sexual assault)
- Violent Civil Unrest
- Missing Student
Health and Medical Emergencies
Medical or psychological crises, including:
- Medical Emergency
- Psychological Crisis
- Suspected Overdose
- Death on Campus
Campus Operations and Environmental Emergencies
Infrastructure disruptions or campus-wide risks, including:
- Severe Weather
- Flood
- Loss of Essential Services
- Public Health Emergency
- Peaceful Demonstrations
Universal Response Protocols
The following are brief outlines of emergency response actions. The university uses 色界吧 Alerts to communicate with the campus community in a variety of formats during emergencies. 色界吧 also posts urgent updates and notifications.
- Leave immediately when instructed.
- Use stairs, not elevators.
- Move to a safe distance.
- Do not re-enter until authorized.
- Go indoors immediately.
- Close and lock doors and windows.
- Remain inside until official notice is given.
- Move to the nearest secure room.
- Lock and barricade doors.
- Turn off the lights and silence phones.
- Remain quiet until law enforcement gives an all-clear.
