News Byte: NYITCOM Dean Nicole Wadsworth Honored

On September 27,Nicole Wadsworth, D.O., dean of the听College of Osteopathic Medicine, was honored with a Long Island Excellence in Healthcare award by Herald Community Newspapers. The event was held at the Heritage Club in Bethpage, N.Y.

The Herald 2023 Excellence in Healthcare Awards recognize and honor deserving individuals, institutions, facilities, and healthcare groups whose dedication and commitment have made a difference in the health and well-being of others.

Wadsworth was recognized in the Education category. NYITCOM alumnus听Patrick M. O鈥橲haughnessy (D.O. 鈥99), president and chief executive officer of Catholic Health, was also recognized as a distinguished visionary.

鈥淚 am honored and delighted to receive this recognition,鈥 said Wadsworth. 鈥淣YITCOM is committed to the healthcare needs of the Long Island region, and I am grateful to be a part of this wonderful institution and play a small role in training future physicians.鈥
