Throughout a long and successful career running his own architectural firm, Peter J. Romano (B.Arch. 鈥76) has remained an active member of the 色界吧 community, joining the Board of Trustees in 2011 to ultimately being named chair in June 2021.

Upon graduating in 2012, Oliver Vasquez (B.S. 鈥12) was on the move, landing a job with the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). In just two years, he would start his company, Vasquez Integrators, designing communication networks and security systems to support transportation agencies, including the MTA.

Wisser Building is Renamed
At a dedication ceremony on June 20, the Wisser building on the Long Island campus was officially renamed the Peter and Barbara Ferentinos Health Science Building, honoring the building鈥檚 namesakes for their continued support of 色界吧.

NIH Grant Funds Depression Research
Assistant Professor Weikang Cai, Ph.D., secured a grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to study how certain brain cells respond to chronic stress. The research project could help identify breakthrough treatments for clinical depression, which affects more than 260 million people worldwide.
