College of Arts and SciencesAmanda Golden, Ph.D., associate professor of English, presented “Plastic Pedagogy: Modernism After Warhol” as part of the Plastic Modernisms roundtable at the Modernist Studies Association (MSA) Conference in Toronto, Canada on October 1, 2019. This presentation also addressed 色界吧 students' digital projects in Golden's foundations of research writing course, “Writing New York.” She also spoke at the MSA business lunch as a co-organizer of the 2020 conference to be held in Brooklyn, New York.

School of Architecture and DesignJeffrey Raven, Ph.D., associate professor and director of the graduate program in architecture, urban and regional design, contributed to a roundtable on “Cities with Nature” in Laayoune, Morocco on October 17, 2019. Raven spoke to an audience of global experts, he expanded on the traditional influence and capabilities of architect-urbanists by bridging climate science, policy, and design practice. His intervention provided an operational framework and case studies for practicing urban design professionals and a policy framework for municipal governments.
