The article was written in collaboration with Stony Brook and Hofstra Universities.

School of Health Professions / Interdisciplinary Health SciencesAmerigo Rossi, Ed.D., associate professor of interdisciplinary health sciences, recently published an article, "Exploring the Association Between the Healthcare Design Elements and Physician Well-Being: A Scoping Review," in Health Environments Research & Design Journal, a peer-reviewed publication, on February 1, 2023.

Chalise, Ph.D., assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, with his former graduate student, Daniel Wong, now with Northrup Grumman, published their paper entitled in IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems on January 31, 2023.
Evan Shieh
School of Architecture and DesignEvan Shieh, M.AUD., adjunct professor of architecture, received a 2023 AIAS/ACSA New Faculty Teaching Award for Part-Time Faculty on January 27, 2023. The award from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) recognizes demonstrated excellence and innovation in teaching performance during the formative years of an architectural teaching career. Award-winning professors inspire and challenge students, contribute to the profession鈥檚 knowledge base, and extend their work beyond the borders of academia into practice and the public sector.

Amin, Ph.D., from Villanova University and Giuseppe A. Fabrizio, Ph.D., from Defence Science and Technology Group, Department of Defence, Australia, published their paper entitled in EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing on January 26, 2023.

Interdisciplinary Health SciencesAmerigo Rossi, Ed.D., associate professor of interdisciplinary health sciences, was awarded a $3000 grant for Advancing & Sustaining Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the ACSM Greater New York regional chapter, on January 25, 2023. This grant will support the development of a strategic plan to incorporate DEI principles into all of our business practices.

Beth Elenko
School of Health ProfessionsBeth Elenko, Ph.D., associate professor of occupational therapy, was awarded a grant for . The grant, awarded on January 20, 2023, and funded by the New York Early Childhood Professional Development Institute and the Heising-Simons Foundation, will support research on enhancing the quality of the educational preparation of current and future early interventionists and on addressing New York State鈥檚 shortage of early interventionists.
