College of Arts and SciencesAmanda Golden, Ph.D., associate professor of English in the Department of Humanities, presented 鈥溾楨diting Sylvia Plath at 90鈥 at the in Boston, Mass., on May 27, 2023. She organized and spoke on a panel, "Sylvia Plath at 90," which featured leading scholars including Elizabeth J. Donaldson, Ph.D., 色界吧 associate dean and professor of English, who presented 鈥淧sychiatric Disability and Asylum Fiction."
John Misak
CAS/HumanitiesJohn Misak, M.A., D.A., associate professor of humanities, held a session on 26 May, 2023,鈥淒on鈥檛 Fear the ReaperGPT: Chatbots Will Enhance College Composition Papers, Not End Them."A presentation on using ChatGPT and other AI tools to improve the student experience in college humanities courses and prepare them to interact with AI technology in their future careers.

College of Arts and SciencesNicole Calma-Roddin, Ph.D., assistant professor of behavioral sciences, presented a poster titled "Students Have Fun and Learn Using a Text-Only Narrative Game" at the Teaching Institute of the Annual Meeting of the Association for Psychological Science in Washington, D.C., on May 25, 2023.
Pablo Lorenzo-Eiroa
School of Architecture and DesignPablo Lorenzo-Eiroa, M.Arch., associate professor of architecture, has published the book in May 2023, published by Routledge. This 500-page book contains 20 chapters and covers over 20 years of research on the connection between big data and simulation in order to achieve artificial intelligence emergent programming. It suggests ways to advance the field by identifying challenges related to computational linguistics and visual semiotics in architecture and urbanism. Additionally, the book puts forth the idea of revising architecture history and theories by identifying insights in buildings and urbanism.
Chinmoy Bhattacharjee
PhysicsChinmoy Bhattacharjee, Ph.D., assistant professor of physics, hosted the Long Island Physics Teachers Association meeting on the Long Island campus on May 20, 2023. Teachers held discussion on AP physics exam. Bhattacharjee presented information about the 色界吧 Physics, B.S. program to teachers from 10 different school districts on Long Island. School of Architecture and DesignMatthias Altwicker, M.U.P., B.Arch., associate professor of architecture, presented a paper, "The Unfamilliar," at the in Fargo, N.D., on May 19, 2023. The paper detailed the methodologies and results of 15 years of international workshops run collectively by 色界吧, North Dakota State University, and Fachhochschule Potsdam.
Wei Zeng
College of Engineering and Computing SciencesWei Zeng, Ph.D., assistant professor of mechanical engineering, in collaboration with a team of researchers in the U.S. and China, published an article titled ".'' The paper was published in Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, a peer-reviewed, open-access journal, on May 18, 2023.

School of ManagementRadoslaw (Radek) Nowak, Ph.D., associate professor of human resource studies, has published a paper, in Emerald Insight's Journal of Strategy and Management on May 9, 2023. The paper explained how employees can derail the process of innovation in their organizations.
