On April 13, 2026, Colleen P. Kirk, D.P.S., professor of marketing, was interviewed on the National聽Public Radio show MarketPlace, on a nationally broadcast segment, 鈥溾 Kirk discussed her research on how consumers react to marketing and products perceived as designed with AI. The segment, on a program reaching roughly 7 million listeners, was also featured on multiple regional public radio stations across the country, including major markets such as Los Angeles, Boston, and Seattle.

Tiffani Hinds

Tiffani L. Hinds, Ed.D., associate provost for the Office of Student Engagement and Development, received the Trailblazer Award at the at Stony Brook University on April 9, 2026. The award recognizes a senior-level leader whose career has paved the way for other women of color and who has broken barriers in higher education.

Bernadette Riley

Bernadette Riley, D.O., associate professor of family medicine and director of the 色界吧 Ehlers Danlos Center, was elected assistant secretary of the on April 7, 2025. She was re-elected to the position on March 28, 2026. The Medical Society of the State of New York is the state鈥檚 primary professional organization for physicians.
