This year-long program begins July 7 with a two-week intensive summer camp (July 7–9 and July 14–16) at either our Long Island or New York City campus.

This free year-long program, funded by an MAA Dolciani Mathematics Enrichment Grant, introduces motivated 10th-, 11th-, and 12th-grade students to the world of mathematical research. Join us for a unique journey from summer exploration to professional-style research presentations. (No calculus required.)
Phase I: The Summer Experience: Two-Week Intensive Camp
Kickstart your research journey at É«½ç°É this summer.
- Dates: July 7-9 and July 14-16 (Tuesday – Thursday)
- Location: É«½ç°É Long Island (Old Westbury) or New York City (Columbus Circle) campus
- Daily Structure: The summer program will run approximately five hours per day, including a one-hour lunch break.
- Morning: Interactive lectures on advanced mathematical concepts.
- Midday: Informal seminars and complimentary lunch with faculty and mentors.
- Afternoon: Hands-on computational labs and project exploration.
Phase II: Academic Year: Collaborative Mentoring
Continue your research through a structured, supportive pipeline during the school year.
- Mentorship: Participate in regular year-long virtual mentoring sessions with faculty and undergrad mentors.
- Projects: Projects focus on mathematical and computational methods to solve real-world problems, emphasizing data visualization and tools such as Python.
- Learning: Get a hands-on introduction to calculus topics.
The Grand Finale: É«½ç°É Math Day 2027
The program culminates in May 2027, when you’ll present your findings at a judged poster session and celebrate your work alongside college researchers at É«½ç°É’s annual Math Day conference.
Math Day
É«½ç°É’s annual Math Day is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of mathematics, featuring guest lecturers, interactive presentations, and student poster presentations.

How to Apply
Students must be entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade at a local Long Island or New York City high school in Fall 2026 and have completed a year of precalculus or an equivalent higher-level mathematics course.
- Online application, including:
- Statement of Interest
- Unofficial transcript
- Resume (optional but recommended)
- Teacher recommendation
- The application form must be submitted by 11: 59 p.m. on Friday, June 5.
- The teacher’s recommendation must be received by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10.
Capacity is limited to ensure personalized mentoring. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
NOTE: Upon acceptance, parents will be forwarded additional consent forms to complete and submit to ensure enrollment.
